In Warminster, Pennsylvania, there is a abandoned military housing neighborhood that I have visited and documented, thoroughly, for the past 2 years. This neighborhood was a part of the Johnsville military base which was closed down in 1992. Since then they have turned the surrounding land into a park run by the township. The neighborhood was then bought by another base in the area, Willow Grove naval air base and when this base closed in 2012, the neighborhood was abandoned instantly. Although the area has been closed off for almost 8 years now, the houses and roads are almost completely destroyed, but still maintained and watched by the township. The township has recently bought the land and now the area awaits its demise. There is not a single house without a broken window or graffiti on it. Although the neighborhood is abandoned, there are always something different when I go and visit it. This series as a whole has the capability to represent those who built families in these homes, and the surrounding land being previously part of the Naval Base, being transformed into a township park.
