Driving around in the smog ridden city with the buzzing of horns, car engines and people talking, I am caught sitting on the side of the road trying to compose a shot in strange angels, watching, and waiting for the noisy objects to go by; it can be seen as difficult to think about art in a situation like this. In the populous counties of Bucks and Philadelphia, there seems to be not a single moment without some man made noise surrounding you. Within the photographs of Quiet, viewers will see a new perspective of the world enclosing on them. These photographs are overlooked features by man, which were purposefully placed for man. I wanted to capture my connection to the city I call home while expressing its soft spokenness in the form of landscapes. The abandonment of the places still available to the public is what interests me, and some of the photographs in the series have a hint of human interaction with unnatural objects. Open spaces express the eternal noises that continue day in and day out. While working on this project, I was really looking towards photographing a same kind of place but in different aspects to help further this concept. These vacant and open spaces create a realization of reality and what would happen if all humans were to disappear and all the sounds were to just stop.
