The Cat Who Cried Hungry

This entirety of this project plays on the idea of tropes and cliches within crime scene stories and 80s family photographs.  The images here pays homage to the basic family portrait, however with the inclusion of the cats as part of the family. The work allows for technical critiquing, to connect to the unpolished ness of the basic under budget documentary and family portraits.  While the viewer gawks at the strangeness of the imagery, they begin to feel nostalgic to their own childhood traumas of that dreaded JCPenney photo studio. The work brings out a humorous memory to those who view the imagery.
